It’s an ultimatum that hits at Republicans’ narrow margins in the Senate (which will be wider when the new Congress starts in January).

About 20yr ago I changed the big noisy (*) contactor for the 400V/3 phase 1kW pool pump to a 4 pole relay similar to this one: https://www.reichelt.at/Industrierelais/FIN-55-34-8-230V/3/index.html?ACTION=3&LA=2&ARTICLE=13324&GROUPID=7622&artnr=FIN+55.34.8+230V&trstct=pol_4 because of the noise it made. It makes small sparks at the contacts, but is switching every day in summer since 20yrs. If there is no cleaning work to do, the pump is only switched one cycle per day by a timer. So, maybe 2000 or 3000 switching cycles is not much for a relay, but it is sufficient. And even if it would burn out now, it had a 20yr lifetime. *) the loud “clonk” when it pulled in and sometimes humming from the coil. That disturbed my father sleeping in a near room. We do not need remote control, it just has to work.

Xiaomi claims a screen-to-body ratio of 93.4 percent, and has cut down on the “chin” at the bottom of the display by nearly 4.5 millimeters compared to the Mi Mix 2S.

How are you implementing the power calculations, out of curiosity? (I have designed a couple of AC power meters before, so it’s somewhat of an interest of mine)

It will only trip the breaker if you have a bonded ground. Soil resistivity has everything to do with it, and is the reason most homes have bonded grounds (the soil resistivity is too high to provide adequate current flow to trip a standard breaker). Unless you have a GFI on that circuit you can still get shocked. Earth ground won’t help you until the voltage gets high enough to cause enough current to flow to trip a standard breaker, and NEC requirements set the limit on earth ground resistivity, the limit they set ends up equaling a voltage of 600 volts required to trip a standard breaker, and that is why most (single family) homes have bonded grounds. Earth ground is only for high voltage transients.

With the introduction of the RGC..32, Carlo Gavazzi now offers a solution for switching up to 37 AAC at 40°C that fits in the 17.8mm wide platform with a depth of 103mm. The RGC..32 is offered both with screw, as well as box clamp output terminals. The version with box clamps is rated for up to 37AAC @ Ta 40°C. This higher current rating on the 17.8mm compact platform is achieved through the utilization of a higher rated power chip that has an I²t of 18000 A²s. Due to this high I²t specification, the RGC..32 can be protected against short circuits by B curve Miniature Circuit Breakers, in applications where the UL508 SCCR rating is not required.

Viking if your cord is getting hot, it’s being overloaded. Time to upgrade the circuit wiring and breaker. The cable doesn’t necessarily have to feel cold, but it shouldn’t feel noticeably warm to the touch either.

You can also see the top of the mechanism for the tilt / swivel LCD panel, peeking out on either side of the electronic viewfinder. The viewfinder itself projects quite a bit from the rear of the camera, a decision that was apparently necessitated by the tight packaging of components in front, including the AF module, popup flash, hot shoe, and microphones.

I had a chance to spend a few days with a late prototype of the Sony A55 (equipped with production firmware version 1.0) prior to its release. (Note that the Sony A33 is so similar to the A55, that we’ve only made a few edits to this Field Test to make it work for the A33 review.) After running a couple thousand shots through it (it does have a very fast continuous mode) I found it to be a pretty compelling camera, combining remarkable shooting speed with a host of other capabilities that really set it apart from most of the market. It’s by no means perfect, but unquestionably expands the range of shooting capabilities open to consumers with average pocketbooks. Looking at just how much I found to comment on below underscores for me just how much Sony has done in the last few months. Read on for some of my thoughts on this new class of consumer SLR:

AC is safer than DC. You can let go of two AC terminals but not DC as DC keeps your muscles clenched. AC doesn’t.

This is called Level 1 charging, and assuming you already have basic electric service in your garage, it’s the cheapest way to go. Unfortunately, it’s also the slowest. Depending on the vehicle and its battery capacity, it can take anywhere from eight to nearly 24 hours to bring its power cells up to a full charge.

hmm, not sure why my comment went in the wrong place. looked like it was in the [ GuruBuckaroo] comment, when I pecked it in. The “unusual sensation” quip was spot on & funny!
