Pedantic FWIW: Afghanistan and North Korea and some banana nations use 110V. USA uses 120V/240V. Japan is the oddball, using 100V. Annoying because you can’t draw more than 1 kilowatt from a socket there (kettle, hair dryer, space heater…). And having lived with the three voltages (100V, 120V, 240V) on four continents, I’ll happily take the 120V supply instead of the 240V.
On Demand Refrigerant Safety Classes A2L and A3 have a very low GWP, making them a strong, long-term solution for many HVACR applications. However, these refrigerants are classified as mildly flammable and highly flammable respectively. This flammability class raises safety and compliance concerns. This webinar will help you understand these classes, along with the opportunities these refrigerants can offer.
Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) circuit breakers run warm. This is normal, there’s nothing to report here.
These were obviously mistakes. I would never intentionally come into contact with HT from the anode cap.
The gate resistor will eventually short to the trace after so many cycles. It may take a while, but it will eventually happen. We had that problem years ago with a product. Resistor has to be lifted up above the trace. Traces and such seem fine for 120VAC for low current loads. Wouldn’t pass muster overseas.
No, he is using a MC3041 to drive a BT137 which can handle 8 amps continuously (if properly heatsinked).
Your writing is appreciated. It’s good to learn something more than just the U.S. english terminology for things. Also makes for a better laugh (sometimes) at some of the anecdotes written in the comments that one reads in so many places online.
This thing is going to get really unhappy when you plug your 15 amp motor into it and it’s embedded in your wall outlet.
He’s not using a pool side remote box but emulating it. But what if he wanted to use both? At the moment it’s simulating the buttons. What if you need to both simulate the buttons and also read them if they are pressed?

The potentially game-changing performance of the Sony A33′s EVF overshadows its excellent rear-panel LCD, which is a little unfair: It’s as good an LCD as is found on any other camera, and in at least one sense literally outshines them all. It’s the same widescreen ~920K-dot high-resolution LCD we’ve seen now on a wide range of cameras from a variety of makers, but its implementation on the Sony A33 adds a couple of useful twists. First, of course, it literally twists and rotates, albeit from the bottom of the body, rather than the side. This unfortunately makes it useless for composing self-portraits with the camera mounted on a tripod, but otherwise is quite helpful for getting over-the-head and ground-level shots with ease.
The Sony A33 offers a lot of control for shooting contrasty subjects. Dynamic Range Optimizer (DRO) adjusts contrast and brightness to optimize the camera’s use of available dynamic range. Auto HDR modes use three quick shots to cover an amazing tonal range. (The shot on the right represents the maximum range of 6 EV.)
