There are notable advances in interior quality and function, most significantly with the dash getting a complete overhaul that includes better materials, layout and an eight-inch screen operated by buttons and touch as standard. It’s both smart and reasonably intuitive, albeit slightly short of some of the slickness of VW’s various systems. As is common in the class, Toyota has expertly put the best materials where you are most likely to see and touch them, with hard, basic plastics mostly hidden in corners of the car.
You don’t need a 3D printer to use a heated print bed for 3D printing? I’d think that having the rest of the 3D printer would more or less be required to use a heated bed to facilitate printing.
Thank you so much for posting this! One tiny correction: the “108V” reference should be 208V, and that applies only in business settings where three phase power is supplied to the building. In that case, the three phases are 120 degrees apart, resulting in any two yielding 208 volts. Residential split-phase service will 180 degrees out oh phase, resulting in 240V.

One aspect of ac motor protection is the surge-withstand capability of the motor itself. Paragraph 20.36.4 of the NEMA motor generator standard MG-1 defines a unit value of surge as:  u à VL-L (or 0.816 à VL-L) where VL-L is the line-to-line voltage of the ac power system.
My first thought was that the terminals were over torqued rotating the blocks, stretching the pins, and tearing the pads.
i built the rig that day. I put an ammeter with max hold on a circuit, plugged the circuit into a known 20 amp connection, and put a load on the circuit that simulated the instrument. Turn it on, 22 amps max hold, 13 amps nominal.
Why do the US still use 110v mains and 20A room circuit breakers? Those currents are dangerous, not the volts.
But used separately, you might drive 10A through a primary and perhaps 15 through a secondary (almost requiring 2 differsnt sources,) dependant on wire gauge as the limiting factor. Now with 2 switches, you can drive the magnet at A, B or A+B strengths!
You can use mains voltage if it involves already approved/CE-licensed parts that are simply wired together such as a power supply to a circuit board, but if you design and build your own part with 120 V inside, it’s on your head when the house burns down.
Not at all. One lumberjack pushes while the other pulls, and they’re both pushing and pulling against the ground. It’s fits perfectly.
It’s not easy to get that many amp-turns out of such a feeble source. You can wind arbitrarily many turns in a coil and create ridiculous magnetic fields, but the series resistance grows to the point that adding more turns decreases the current and diminishes the field.
