You now have a Tesla 3 correct? What is the efficiency hit by using 120 volts? It used to be a 30% hit for the S,X, Roadster, and new Rav4Ev with the Tesla drivetrain, Meanwhile 12 amps at 115 for a VOLT is quite efficient.
You’ll notice that I didn’t explain exactly how to correct this. I do this intentionally because I’m not going to do the work. This situation could be easily fixed by replacing the dimmer switch with a simple toggle switch, by installing a dimmer rated for a higher wattage, or by installing bulbs with a lower wattage. Any of those would be fine, but as the home inspector, I don’t design the repairs.
The Mode dial on the left shoulder is used to select the camera’s operating mode. An angled panel allows you to view four buttons from either the rear or above: Menu, Movie, Exposure Compensation, and Auto-exposure Lock buttons.
Sorry.. gotta disagree here. I’m sure L1 charging can work for some people who don’t drive very much. But people who buy an EV thinking they are going to be able to do everything using the 120V EVSE are going to wind up ver dissatisfied with their EV owning experience. When you get buy a 240V unit from clipper creek for $300 these days, plus maybe a few hundred for electrical work, there is really no excuse not to get this done in most cases.
I actually also just added remote control to my pool, using a Sonoff 4CH pro. In my case, I have 3 devices I want to control. The pool pump itself, a water feature close to the pool, and the pool lighting. I also incorporated a flow rate sensor into the pump to make sure that the pump was not working too hard (as can happen when there is too much debris in the pool weir basket!). To drive the flow rate sensor, I tapped into the 5V supply before the 3.3V regulator, as the sensor was specced to run on 5V-24V, or thereabouts. I also inserted a level converter in between the flow rate signal and the Sonoff, even though it should be OK with 5V. I didn’t feel like taking chances.
Of course you can use an extra 50Hz transformer, you do not need voltage regulation. But you need power (DC) for motors and electronics. If you have already a switching PSU (which are often even cheaper than big heavy iron/copper transformers of the same power) the extra power capability for the heater does not cost very much. Lets say you will not get the 120VA transformer for the price difference of lets say a 80W PSU vs. a 200W PSU. Also you can switch the DC with a single MOSFET.
Sometimes you’ll get a zap across your hand, maybe even a horrible burn. But I like those odds compared to you touched live and it routed current through your heart!
Alpha mount. The Sony A33 accepts Alpha-mount lenses from Sony, and is backward-compatible with older Minolta or Konica Minolta A-mount lenses, allowing use of a huge range of both current and historic glass. Compared to single-lens direct view cameras — even Sony’s own NEX series — this will likely make the Sony A33 a much more attractive proposition for existing Alpha or A-mount photographers. While Alpha-mount lenses can be used on NEX cameras through a mount adapter, they lose their in-body SteadyShot capabilities, whereas the Sony A33 retains this capability with the same lenses. (In an earlier version of this review, we also called attention to the inability to autofocus using Alpha-mount lenses on NEX-series bodies, but this looks to be negated by a forthcoming update for the LA-EA1 mount adapter that will enable Alpha-mount AF on NEX bodies. We’ve not yet tested this update, and hence can’t comment on how NEX and SLT-series cameras will compare in this area.) Sony rates the SteadyShot sensor shift mechanism in the Alpha A33 for between 2.5 and four stops of correction.
I think it’s just fine and nice to see someone put care and thinking into this sort of thing in an unusual way for HaD. Usually people are either completely terrified or entirely cavalier about mains voltage in projects on here when all that is required is some respect and thoughtfulness like you have quite obviously displayed. Next you can add a power meter so you know how many quarters to give your friend
Sega announced on its Twitter account today that the release of its Mega Drive Mini, a miniature version of its classic console, would be delayed until sometime in 2019. The Mega Drive Mini’s release was originally slated to coincide with the console’s 30th anniversary in Japan, but its global availability was unknown. Now, the company has confirmed that the miniature console will be released as the Mega Drive Mini in Japan and Europe and as the Genesis Mini in North America.
In the waning days of Flake’s presence in the Senate, the Arizona lawmaker, who’s frequently clashed with Trump, now has dwindling opportunities to make his mark. Longtime observers of his tortured reluctance to back Republicans going in a direction he does not like will recall that such stands often end with Flake simply, well, flaking.
In this context, âvoltage transientsâ are defined as short-duration surges of electrical energy. In the electrical or electronic circuits that varistors intend to protect, this energy may be released either in a predictable manner via controlled switching actions, or randomly induced into a circuit from external sources.
