I certain the Residual Current Circuit Breaker is what GFCI is in North America. Not expensive at all for the units that will fit into a device box. The breaker that mount in the breaker panel are pretty pricey though, but are rarely called for. The only time they are needed if a building uses shallow device boxes for some reason.
The other issues aren’t as significant. The copper can be the inner layer like you see in multi layer (3+) boards. The only exposed part can be for the connector and the connector can be made water resistant and closed off.
Buying from people you’ve never heard of, to get stuff cheaper, which is the only reason you’d use Ebay or Amazon, bypasses this whole chain of trust. And, fuck me! it turns out buying stuff from anonymous suppliers, in a market where Chinese scammers are an utter epidemic, sometimes means people don’t get what they expected to.
This dead-screen issue was so pronounced that I found myself dropping back to 6 fps rather than 10 on the A55, and shooting in short bursts at what I thought (hoped?) were the decisive moments. More than with many cameras with lesser speed or buffer capacity, I found myself shooting to manage the camera’s buffer, more than simply focusing on the subject and the action taking place. It would have been a lot less aggravating if I could have at least seen thumbnails of just-captured shots immediately after taking them.
Stripping wire with my teeth (my front teeth have a perfect gap at the bottom for it, I could probably specify them in AWG) to fit the socket onto a phone extension cable. While rather stupidly forgetting I’d plugged the damn thing in downstairs. Yowch! Fortunately it wasn’t ringing. As a mistake, it was educational.
1. He mentioned grease – higher current SSRs are sweat soldered to the base plate, they don’t use thermal grease.
Attack of the giant hand? That’s what we called these shots when we took them. Despite the disparity between the size of my hand and the camera body, the grip was still fairly comfortable.
But yes, 1A is the absolute maximum, peak value for the MOC3041M for a brief amount of time. Even the MOC3041’s 8A maximum, temporary rating is unsuitable as a peak for a typical 15A US mains.
Sweep Panorama mode makes shooting panoramas easy, but not entirely brainless: It often takes me a few tries to get just the shot I want. The camera throws away a fair bit of the image area top/bottom and left/right, to insure that it has enough room to get everything aligned properly, despite your having angled the camera or not having swept perfectly horizontally or vertically. Sometimes, you can end up with your main subject higher or lower in the frame than you’d anticipated. It’s also easy to get a tilted horizon, if the camera orientation or your sweep direction is a little off. I found the A33 and A55′s level indicator and viewfinder gridline displays very helpful for avoiding these problems, although there was a little learning curve for me to make effective use of them.
Creating a PCB heat bed isn’t an art – it’s a science. There are equations and variables to calculate, possibly some empirical measurements by measuring the resistance of a trace, but Ohm’s Law is a law for a reason. If you do things right, you can make a PCB heat bed perfectly suited for the task. You can even design in safety features like overcurrent protection and fuses. It can’t be that hard. After all, your house is full of devices that are plugged into the wall.
No, because they are opposite phase. In this setup the neutral wire doesn’t carry any current, so the same 15 amps goes through both hot wires.
If you have an older system, you might like to see more of a pool system rebuild. If you are interested in controlling the pool chemistry, we’ve seen that before, too.
