The Mode dial on the left shoulder is used to select the camera’s operating mode. An angled panel allows you to view four buttons from either the rear or above: Menu, Movie, Exposure Compensation, and Auto-exposure Lock buttons.

Electricity can and will kill you. dead. it doesn’t care if it’s dumping into you from an AC or DC source or at what frequency. A little tickle to one person may be the correct amount at the right time to drop another who has a heart defect they didn’t and will never know they had. “Freezing on circuit” and all the other bullshit people wax on about is meaningless when you are dead. And electricity will grab you and tear out your soul before you have a chance to fucking realize you are dead. If you honestly don’t know what you are doing, then shut the fuck up and stay the hell back. A dead “know it all” knows nothing. Turn off your fucking ego because it’s going to get you killed. Period. Use common sense to keep yourself alive, if you have none, stay the fuck away from electricity.
Aluminum wire has a lower ampacity than the same gauge copper wire, meaning aluminum must be larger to accomplish the same ampacity job as copper wire. The rule-of-thumb sizes rely on the lowest allowable temperature rating of the wire; in some cases, the circuit may have a higher ampacity if the insulation on the wire and the connection endpoints are all rated at 75°C (167°F) or 90°C (194°F).
Overall though, if everything is designed so it can’t hurt you, even in far fetched and unlikely worst case scenarios then many things would just never get made. In this case I think you could make a safe heated bed as long as you take safeguards to ensure a low probability of accidental shock. A simple enclosure around the board and the connections would more or less end the shock safety debate. Fire is another issue I guess, probably a fuse would solve that.
The Mi Mix 3 will be out on November 1st in China, starting at 3,299 yuan ($475) for a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage; that’s the same base price that the 64GB Mi 2S launched at. 3,999 yuan ($575) gets you 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 10GB model is a “Forbidden City Palace Museum” special edition variant that comes with 256GB of storage and costs 4,999 yuan ($720). Pricing for India and other markets should be announced soon.
The QD terminals I buy are not the crappy ones you get at Home Depot. I buy 10 gauge Molex AviKrimp ones from DigiKey. They’re ~33 cents each at Q:250. They are no joke. I use them in the high current path of OpenEVSEs that I build for up to 24A, and they perform perfectly.
“FEW HUNDRED’(???? !!!!) – I remember when I bought my ELR, Cadillac would allow $3000 for purchase and installation of a $500-$999 EVSE along with installation. In those difficult installation cases, the owner would have to fork over the difference.

But who cares, there are plenty of (approved) lightning dimmers that are for replacing teh regular wall switches and they are usually *not* capable of dimming 2 KW loads which is the full capacity of a regular outlet. But rather just a few hundred watts, enough for its intended usage.
If you have a 3D-capable Sony television to view them on, capturing 3D images can definitely be entertaining. That’s about where I’d leave it, though: "Entertaining" vs "compelling." While you do get a reasonable 3D effect in shots captured this way, I found the quality of the 3D experience a little disappointing. Don’t expect Avatar-level 3D, this strikes me as more of a gee-whiz sort of feature: In my experience, the 3D effect is a bit limited, and foreground objects tend to break up visually. I suspect this has to do with the fact that the perspective is changing throughout the sweep, so things like effective intraocular distance and viewing angle aren’t perfectly consistent throughout the image. Whatever the cause, it’s a fun effect, but not something that would be a decisive factor for me in choosing a camera, whereas ordinary 2D sweep panorama is something that I’ve used often. (Personally, I suspect this feature has a lot less to do with selling cameras than it does with selling TVs: I wouldn’t buy a camera for the feature, but all else being equal, if I owned a Sony camera that had the feature, I’d be more inclined to purchase a Sony television that supported it.)
